LET’S FACE IT…THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION HAS SUBSTANTIATED RACISM AS AN INTRICATE PART OF AMERICAN CULTURE. RACISM HAS ALWAYS BEEN THERE, BUT DONALD TRUMP GAVE IT “REAL SUBSTANCE” AND WHITE AMERICA REWARDED HIM. I was watching MSNBC last night as they discussed the firing of Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, and also the growing role that Stephen Bannon plays in this Trump Administration. As the pundits continued about Bannon’s role and whether he should have a permanent seat on the National Security Council, Republicant Strategist Ed Rollins opined “Were it not for Bannon, Donald Trump probably would not have been elected president.” The panel agreed.
When you understand that Donald Trump had no governmental experience and no political experience of any note, you have to ask yourself, How Did Bannon Help Trump’s Election? The panel in effect “admitted” that Racism and particularly Stephen Bannon’s “brand” of Racism won the White House for Donald Trump. Bannon came to Trump from the racist Breitbart website, best described as a haven for the so-called "alt-right" movement, but in actuality nothing more than a repository for various neo-fascists, white supremacists, Anti-Semites, and the Ku Klux Klan. And he came bringing a decided Racist edge to the Trump campaign. Whenever Republicant campaigns, and especially national campaigns, get in trouble and start to flounder, and Trump’s campaign was in trouble, Race and Racism become their fallback strategy. Remember the Racist Willie Horton political ad? The Horton ad was originally aired during the 1988 presidential election by the George Bush-allied National Security PAC. The infamous ad maliciously developed by Republicant strategist Lee Atwater slammed Democratic presidential nominee Michael Dukakis for the weekend furlough program in his state’s prison system. Horton, a Black convicted murderer, was on furlough when he committed rape, assault, and armed robbery. The fear and the alarm of Black crime got Bush elected. In 1991, when Atwater was dying of cancer, he apologized for using Horton against Dukakis. Stephen Bannon did not put any thinking into Donald Trump’s wretched brain that was not already there, but it was more than obvious that Bannon fueled Trump’s campaign by reaching out to white supremacists. Bannon counseled his neophyte candidate to disparage women though Trump already had a history of disparaging women. His Latino outreach was disgusting and pathetic. His Black outreach consisted of condescending and patronizing racist code words. Even the recent so-called Executive order Muslim Ban which many think was written by Bannon is still another example of Trump’s Racism and Bannon’s Racism. Understand that in White nationalist circles, Arabs/Muslims are referred to as “Sand or Desert Niggers.” Someone described Bannon as a person with a very low moral compass, yet this is THE person Trump chose to advise him daily as his Senior Adviser and to sit as a permanent member of the National Security Council advising him on matters of national security. Bannon helped to politically “cultivate” Donald Trump’s vile racism and in the process gave him the White House. Think about that the next time you say…Give Him a Chance. The Struggle Continues.
