SUPREME COURT OVERTURNS ROE V. WADE, ENDING 50 YEARS OF FEDERAL ABORTION RIGHTS.
FOR THOSE OF YOU UPSET BECAUSE THE SUPREME COURT OVERTURNED ROE V. WADE, UNDERSTAND ELECTIONS HAVE THEIR CONSEQUENCES. It is a given, for Blacks anyway, that White America willfully elected a White Racist president, namely donald j. trump, as a spiteful "We will show you Coloreds" after 8 quality years of a Black President Barack Obama administration. An administration which saw "No Scandals," but that is another conversation. The obvious vote to elect a Racist was intended to bring a Racist atmosphere to America, which donald trump did. That is what Racists do. Unfortunately in those election numbers, 54% of White females voted for donald trump, in 2016 and 2020. Apparently for some White females, Race, Racism, and White Privilege are much more important than breaking the "glass ceiling," and much more important than a female body. donald trump appointed 3 justices to the Supreme Court. That is half of the 6 racist/conservative/Christian evangelical justice majority on the Supreme Court. 5 White justices* and a "whatever" voted to overturn Roe simply because they could, and to hell with legal precedent. (Chief Justice Roberts filed an opinion concurring with the judgement to uphold Mississippi's 15-week abortion ban in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, but he noted he would not have overturned Roe v. Wade. Whoop-de-doo.) That also means in todays White Society, White America as exemplified by those 5 White justices +1-Clarence Thomas really does not count-decided women don't have THE RIGHT to decide about their bodies. So White America, and White Female America, you wanted a Racist as president, you voted for a Racist as president, and you got exactly what you bargained for, AND THEN SOME!

When more Blacks tell the truth about Racism and expose those Blacks "who go along to get along," then more Blacks will realize that kissing White folks' asses will only get you a NASTY and a SMELLY FACE.
BTW-If you want to know about White American Racists and White American Racism, do not ask White Americans. AMERICA IS ON THE VERGE OF BECOMING A FASCIST GOVERNMENT BECAUSE OF WHITE AMERICAN RACISM.
White America refused to disavow its Racism and elected a Lying Racist president, who appointed three unqualified racist justices to the United States Supreme Court. Each NON-VETTED appointee proceeded to LIE during their confirmation hearings about basically everything. Now, the same Lying president has extended his incessant Lying by claiming 'somebodies' stole "his re-election." And who stole the election, and what is the underlying reason for his ridiculously insidious claim? BLACKS, of course, who voted in record numbers in crucial states to defeat the racist president, electing Joe Biden. So, in his diseased Racist mind, America's Racist 45th president whined something illegal happened, by and with those Black voters. Millions in White America, including governors, state legislators, local elected officials, U.S. Congressmen, U.S. Congresswomen, and U.S. Senators, believe a Lying Racist as he tells his Racist narcissistic lies instead of pledging to protect American Democracy threatening whatever America Democracy intended. When American Democracy fails White America, and when YOU and the White media look for the reason, look in the mirror. The "reason" will be looking back at you. The question is, “What has Clarence Thomas done on this Earthly Plane to make it a better place?"
TODAY IS ANN'S 77TH BIRTHDAY. She earned her Heavenly Rest 6 years ago, on September 5, 2016. When I give that time frame, the reaction is usually, "It does not seem as if it has been that long." My reply is usually, "Yes, it does!" That is the reality of losing a mate. No one can internalize for you what the loss means, how it affects the family, and significantly how it affects YOU. Grieving is personal; my grieving is personal, and you grieve by yourself. No one can tell you how to feel and how you should feel. How someone else feels when they lose a spouse or a loved one, is not an example for them to know how you feel. I miss Ann every day. Yet, life goes on, and you make the necessary adjustments, rough at times, but you make the adjustments. Nothing helps get me over some of my "rough spots" like music. Listening to Ann and my favorite songs and reminiscing is LOVE'S way of keeping you connected with a Loved One. Not necessarily dwelling in the past, but as your memories wander, as my memories wander, music helps me remember how much the good memories outweigh my loss. Remembering too the words of Bishop Rudolph McKissick Sr. who said to me, "Rodney , grieve as you want to grieve, and it the midst of your grieving thank God for the more than 52 years he gave you and Ann together." I do, Bishop, and I am thankful for your words 6 years ago. This is another of Ann and my many favorite songs. This one is by Jerry Butler. It is entitled, "Thanks to You." "You changed my life And my way of living And all of my life I will be giving Thanks to you For being true And loving me Just loving me As I love you. You took my heart And you possess my soul In you, I find warmth When so-called friends turn cold Forevermore When things get tough We'll have each other And I believe I really do believe That's enough. Thanks To You." Happy Heavenly Birthday, My Darling Ann. I Miss You. You say you feel uncomfortable because Black folks have the audacity, the unmitigated gall, to talk about how your ancestors treated their ancestors since the founding of this country just because they were Black which makes you feel uncomfortable. First, however, let me remind you that you kidnapped Africans, my ancestors, by the hundreds of thousands from Africa and brought them to this country, South America, and Central America. WE built your American and world capitalistic system as we worked for you for free under the most inhumane, despicable, and deadly conditions. A free labor economy where you were the only beneficiaries. A free labor economy that made your ancestors wealthy and continues to make you and this country wealthy today. So now you, White folks, do not want us, Black folks, to talk about your White Supremacy, your Christian White American Holocaust of Slavery, and your Christian White American institution of Systemic Racism. You try and deny your core racist attitudes as America, but: You cannot deny Slavery and the blood, sweat, and death of my ancestors made you and this country obscenely rich to disrespect Blacks; You cannot deny the repulsive violence you employed to teach enslaved people lessons; You cannot deny the hypocritically racist erecting of monuments to memorialize a war you fought and lost to maintain Slavery; You cannot deny you created Segregation after Slavery to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you were responsible for the “Nadir of Race Relations” to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you created Jim Crow laws to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you created 'Black codes' to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you created Segregation to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you created “separate but equal” as the law of the land validated by the United States Supreme Court to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny the insulting and revolting signs you employed over this country and especially in the South to re-enforce your racist opposition to citizenship rights to American Citizens whose hue of skin was and is Black to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" You cannot deny you used violence, and deadly violence, when you reacted to Blacks protesting against your racism and for their Black human dignity and respect to disrespect Blacks and to keep them "in their place;" Yet you want to try and wipe this truth, this vulgarity of your existence, this insolence devoted to your so-called southern heritage and legacy, but which is nothing more than camouflaged, and not well, continued White Supremacy. So even though my ancestors were targets of your White supremacy as I am today, you pass laws to stop teaching the truth about the Racism of this country as if your Racism did not exist? You do not want your children and your grandchildren to know about their heritage and legacy of Racism. Do you want them to think nothing like Racism ever happened in this country? Do you want them to think the vulgarity and the insults to my Black human dignity and Respect never happened? You can pass your censorship and memory change laws and seek to rewrite a racist American history all you want, but it happened. I am, we are, living witnesses with our Black hue of skin as victims and targets of your Christian White Racist Bible-ignoring, and your Christian White Racist looking the other way when considering the teachings of Jesus Christ racism. TRY AS YOU MIGHT, YOU CAN NOT MAKE US FORGET YOUR WHITE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN RACISM THEN AND NOW, AND WE WILL NEVER STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR WHITE AMERICAN CHRISTIAN RACISM THEN AND NOW. THE STRUGGLE CERTAINLY CONTINUES! MORE REASONS YOU CAN NOT INCLUDE 'JACKSONVILLE' AND 'PROGRESSIVE' IN THE SAME SENTENCE.
City Councilman Matt Carlucci introduced a bill to budget $500,000 to have the mayor propose a plan to remove the confederate monument in Springfield Park and the rest of the Confederate Statue remaining in James Weldon Johnson Park. The Jacksonville City Council voted the legislation down, 6 councilmen voted for the legislation that would have removed the confederate statues; 13 councilmen voted against the legislation to keep the confederate statues. THE 6 WHO VOTED FOR REMOVING THE CONFEDERATE STATUES: Matt Carlucci, Garrett Dennis, Reggis Gaffney, Joyce Morgan, Ju'Coby Pittman, and Brenda Priestly Jackson. THE 13 WHO VOTED AGAINST REMOVING THE CONFEDERATE STATUES: Danny Becton, Aaron Bowman, Michael Boylan, LaAnna Cumber, Randy DeFoor. Rory Diamond, Al Ferraro, Terrance Freeman, Sam Newby, Ron Salem, Randy White, Kevin Carrico, and Nick Howland. It is instructive that ALL who voted against removing the confederate statues were Republicants, including the two Black Republicants-Sam Newby and Terrance Freeman. YOU CANNOT INCLUDE 'JACKSONVILLE' AND 'PROGRESSIVE' IN THE SAME SENTENCE. IT WILL NOT WORK. YOU CAN'T DO IT. NO WAY. THIS WEEK, THE 6888TH CENTRAL POST DIRECTORY BATTALION -THE 6888-WAS RECOGNIZED WITH A CONGRESSIONAL GOLD MEDAL OF HONOR CELEBRATION AT ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY. The 6888th Central Post Directory Battalion was the only exclusively Black female unit sent overseas during World War II. The mission of the 6888th was to solve the mail and morale problem. Their service helped uplift the American soldiers whose only connection to their home families was through handwritten letters. They sorted through mountains of backlogged mail and were often in poor working conditions, but they did it in record time. The 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion had 855 Black women, both enlisted and officers, and was led by Major Charity Adams. The group motto was "No mail, low morale." The battalion was organized into five companies, Headquarters, Company A, Company B, Company C, and Company D. Most of the 6888th worked as postal clerks, but others were cooks and mechanics and held other support positions, so the 6888th was a self-sufficient unit. During World War II, there was a significant shortage of soldiers who were able to manage the postal service for the U.S. Army overseas. In 1944, Mary McLeod Bethune worked to get the support of the First Lady, Eleanor Roosevelt, for "a role for Black women in the war overseas." Black newspapers, too, challenged the U.S. Army to "use Black women in meaningful Army jobs." The women who signed up went to basic training in Georgia. The 6888th left the United States on February 3, 1945, sailing on the Île de France, arriving in Glasgow, Scotland on February 12. When the 6888th settled in Birmingham, England "they saw letters stacked to the ceiling of the temporary post office" in unheated converted hangars. Some letters had been in the makeshift offices for as long as two years. Army officials believed that undelivered mail was "hurting morale." Many letters and packages had only the intended recipient's first name and a commonly used name or used nicknames. There was estimated to be a backlog of 17 million items. The 6888th devised their system to handle the backlog of mail. This included creating and maintaining a card index of names of those with the same or similar names, using military serial numbers to distinguish between them. This finally contained 7 million cards. The women of the 6888th worked in three different shifts, seven days a week, processing and delivering mail – a morale booster – to fighting troops in Europe. Each shift handled an estimated 65,000 pieces of mail. In total, the unit handled mail for over four million military and civilians and cleared backlogs in the U.K. and France. The 6888th was a segregated unit, sleeping, and eating in different locations from the White male soldiers. They were housed in a former school building, with officers quartered in houses nearby. Some women felt that the European locals treated them better than people in the United States. By October 1945, the mail in Rouen, France had been cleared, and the 6888th was sent to Paris. They marched through the city and were housed in a luxurious hotel, where they received first-class treatment. Their service helped uplift the American soldiers whose only connection to their home families was through handwritten letters. In February 1946, the unit returned to the United States, where it was disbanded at Fort Dix, New Jersey. There was no public recognition for their service UNTIL NOW. WHEN GOD WAS CREATING FATHERS, HE STARTED WITH A TALL FRAME.
And an angel nearby said, "What kind of Father is that? If you're going to make children so close to the ground, why have you put fathers up so high? He won't be able to shoot marbles without kneeling, tuck a child in bed without bending, or even kiss a child without a lot of stooping." And God smiled and said, "Yes, but if I make him child size, who would children have to look up to?" EARLY HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! |
