  AMERICA WAS OSTENSIBLY FOUNDED ON CHRISTIANITY AND THE CHRISTIAN ETHIC OF "DO UNTO OTHERS AS YOU WOULD HAVE THEM DO UNTO YOU." OF COURSE, WHITE CHRISTIAN ETHICS FOR WHITE RACIST CHRISTIAN AMERICA IS A JOKE-A PAINFUL, EVIL, AND A DELIBERATELY INHUMANE VIOLENT RACIST JOKE. On October 20, 1669, the Virginia Colonial Assembly enacted a law that removed criminal penalties for enslavers who killed enslaved people resisting authority. The assembly justified the law because “the obstinacy of many [enslaved people] cannot be suppressed by other than violent means.” The law provided that an enslaver's killing of an enslaved person could not constitute murder because the “premeditated malice” element of a murder could not be formed against one’s own property. In subsequent years, Virginia continued to reduce legal protections for enslaved people. In 1723, the assembly removed all penalties for killing enslaved people during “correction,” meaning that an enslaved person could be killed for an “offense” as minor as picking bad tobacco. The willful or malicious killing of an enslaved person constituted murder, but the law excused the killing of an enslaved person if the killing was provoked. In effect, enslavers could kill enslaved people with impunity in colonial-era Virginia, and the situation was similar in most other colonial territories. Following the American Revolution, many states created penalties for killing enslaved people—but the loophole permitting the killing of an enslaved person during “correction” or to prevent “resistance” remained. As a result, throughout slavery in this country's history, enslavers were rarely punished for killing enslaved people. Black babies were born into slavery and were enslaved ALL OF THEIR NATURAL LIVES.

THE MORE I HEAR WHITE RACIST Republicants spew their vicious, venomous, racist, insidious diatribes in their campaign ads against Blacks, other minorities, equality, justice, brotherhood, sisterhood, and Democracy, the more I am convinced of the pathological wretchedness and the pathetic racial disjointedness of Blacks that identify with the Republicant party.
I CAN NEVER TRUST any Black person, in this day of the Racist trump Party, who calls himself/herself a Republicant. They are simply Bent Back Negro TRUMPLICANTS.    THAT DAY, 4 YEARS AGO, when I got a call late Friday night asking if I could meet Senator Cory Booker at the Ax Handle Saturday mural. I could not say yes fast enough. I called Rudy (Dr. Rudy Jamison) and Chris (Dr. Chris Janson) and we met the Senator the next morning. Even though I had something else planned that Saturday morning, it was delayed. Favor Ain't Fair! Senator Booker said he was told when visiting Jacksonville, he had to see the Ax Handle Saturday mural and get the Real Story about the Jacksonville Youth Council NAACP 1960 sit-in demonstrations and Ax Handle Saturday. He got it. He did not just go through the motions. He did not just put in an appearance. He listened and asked questions, lots of questions, and he got lots of answers; and he stayed a while. He told us that he would spread the word about this chapter in Jacksonville's Civil Rights History when he got back to Washington, DC. He did! A Great Day. Unless WE Tell It...  Next year, the theme for Black History Month, and the theme for the full year, as determined by the Association for the Study of African-American Life and History (ASALH-the organization founded by Dr. Carter G. Woodson who sets the theme every year), is "BLACK RESISTANCE."  To my Liberal, Progressive White Friends- Don't fight Racism because you think that somehow you are doing me, and folks who look like me, a favor. Fight Racism because a hate-filled, venomous, evil, greedy society, like we have in America, is not conducive for YOU to raise Your children.  For those who want to discuss and teach the truth about American History, start with this: "In addition to NOT discovering America and NEVER landing on American soil, Christopher Columbus was a slaver trader and a mass murderer."
SOME POLITICAL PUNDITS are saying the election and the re-election of many Democrats and saving Democracy, depend on the Black Voter turnout. In other words, Black Voters are expected to save America from itself, and save Democracy at the same time.
Of course, what is obvious, these same pundits are not saying Racist White America are responsible for Democracy hanging on "by a thread" in the first place, and America being in this "Mell of a Hess." Society cannot work without addressing the racial disparities that undermine the functioning of its democratic and social institutions. The challenge of racial justice is actually the challenge of Democracy because we can’t make society work unless we can address racial division, distrust, inequality and racism. Black America cannot save White America, AGAIN, from itself, if White American males and White American females continue to hold on to their White Privilege, their Racism, and their Core Racist Attitudes. Racism is the GREATEST THREAT to Democracy today. Correspondingly, White America has a choice, Democracy or Racism. What is so sad and pathetic about Herschel Walker is he is a tool in the hands of White racists, and he is too challenged-about-his-Black skin that he does not understand he is a tool in the hands of White racists. A Real Bent-Back Doo-Dah Negro...AND...he is not alone.
Anyone who says "I don't see color" when it comes to obvious racial issues, and even not so obvious racial issues, not only needs glasses (or new glasses), but is also a despicable Liar! When you are White and privileged in America, equality, even talk about equality, feels like Oppression. |
