The Fight against Christian White American Racism and for Black Human Dignity and Respect which started in the 50s and the 60s (and before) continues. Bullets have replaced the police "billy clubs," and tasers have replaced the fire hoses and the ax handles, but the violence is still there. Blacks are the victims of Christian White American Racism then and now. AND NOTHING HAS CHANGED. Black Voting rights are being destroyed by a Racist Supreme Court and Racist legislatures throughout the country and especially in the South. It happened before. PRIVATE Charter schools, aka segregation academies, are replacing public schools. It happened before. Blacks are harassed and intimidated from voting purely because they are Black. Whtie America-Christian White America-does not want Black America to have a voice and to elect representatives who look like them. It happened before. The Same South that fought a war as an enemy government to maintain slavery, is showing the world what their fight was really about in addition to slavery. Keeping those with a Black Hue of Skin in their place and under White thumbs. They are fighting that same war today. Disrespect, one of the cornerstones of Christian White American Racism, also continues unabated. We see news accounts daily, and all because Christian Racist White America wanted a Racist in the White House after 8 quality years of a Black President. Pervasive, insidious, and evil racism is the order of the day in AMERIKKKA. Try as Racist Republicants and others might, "Colored" and "White" signs of days gone by are not myths and urban legends. Of course, we did not put up the signs nor did we cause the conditions for the signs. The hatred and the evilness of Racism are not myths and urban legends. The racist violence and death exacted on Blacks in days gone by and TODAY are not myths and urban legends. And now, the hypocrisy of all hypocrisies, White American Christians want to deny they fostered, wrote, and romanticized an Incomplete, Dishonest, and a Racist American History while doing their racist best to return to an incomplete, Dishonest, and a Racist America. Some Black folks and White folks ask the question, "When are we gonna start fighting again?" They have to answer their own question. SOME OF US Have Never Stopped Fighting. The Struggle Continues.

WHENEVER THE DEBATE OVER WHETHER CRITICAL RACE THEORY SHOULD OR SHOULD NOT BE CONSIDERED IN SCHOOLS' CURRICULA, opponents of Critical Race Theory argue that guilt and shame would overcome White students for being born White, but no concern about learning the truthful history about America's lack of Racial Justice, and Christian White American Racism. Perhaps they know the truth? Since its inception in 1787, America's government was directly responsible for the enslavement, rape, murder of, and discrimination against, its African citizens, and the forcible and murderous removal of Native Americans from their ancient lands. It is truthful American History. TODAY, Racist White Christian Republicants DO NOT want Black students to learn how their ancestors were brutalized and enslaved. TODAY, Racist White Christian Republicants DO NOT want White students to learn how their ancestors brutalized and enslaved Africans and Black Americans. In their minds, they do not wish White children to carry the burden of their forefathers' sins and be made aware of exactly how brutal the United States was to enslave Africans and Indigenous peoples and to learn anything other than America is a benevolent land of freedom and opportunity. Conservatives, aka Racists, lament the teachings of a complete and accurate American history. In their minds, White children learning about the role racial subjugation and slavery played in the founding and building of this country is divisive. It is critical for them to preserve White supremacy culture so that White students do not become educated on just how flawed America is and has been concerning its treatment of its non-white citizens, particularly its Black citizens. It was and is White Christian America Racism. It is also of equal importance that you do not educate students of color, primarily Black students, on just how inequitable and unequal the United States was at its inception or how the dehumanization of Black people has been in America's narrative from day one, persisting to present-day. But the thing about American racism is that its "slip is always showing," therefore, it does not matter if White students are learning about it in class or not, because the real-world models racism daily. The right-wing propaganda machine's version of "critical race theory" is a lie, made to mean almost anything the racist propagandists and their audience want. Once objective truth and reality are destroyed or abandoned, democracy and human freedom become impossible. Supporting Republican Racists who tell evil fairytales and LIES about "critical race theory" — or, more directly, about the teaching of America's history — is by definition an act of white supremacy and racism. And those real-world lessons in evil bigotry and insidious racism always make their way back to school campuses. We asked Jacksonville's White political leadership, namely Mayor Haydon Burns to appoint a Bi-Racial Committee to discuss the myriad of Jacksonville's problems as it related to the Black community.
Mayor Haydon Burns, the segregationist (his description of himself) refused to appoint an official Bi-Racial Committee to work on Jacksonville's myriad Racial problems, a committee was formed by the NAACP, the Black and the White Ministerial Alliances, and the Downtown Business community. His Reasoning? Burns said that he was a "segregationist" and "bi-racial" meant integration, and if he appointed a bi-racial committee his "friends might think he was an integrationist." His actual words. Thus, the thinking of Jacksonville's mayor, representative of Jacksonville's White political establishment, circa 1960. We had a number of complaints on the table to discuss--No Black firemen, No Black salespeople downtown, No Black bus drivers, Black police could not arrest Whites, downtown segregation, and Racism. Attorney Earl M. Johnson, Mr. Pearson, and I were on the committee. After several months of contentious meetings with me and Mr. Pearson walking out at least twice, an agreement was reached to integrate downtown lunch counters. Marjorie Meeks (Brown), the Jacksonville Youth Council NAACP Secretary, and I, now students and Edward Waters College, then, left the campus for 5 consecutive days and went downtown and ate lunch at Woolworth's White lunch counter. After those 5 days, all the downtown lunch counters were integrated. A small step but a step, nonetheless. "Look, my uncle, Donald Trump is dangerous.
He came into power sowing division and stoking a racist conspiracy theory about Barack Obama’s place of birth. He left office spreading a dangerous conspiracy theory that the election was stolen." - Mary Trump IN THE ACADEMIC ARENA THERE IS A SAYING, “IF IT IS NOT WRITTEN DOWN, IT DID NOT HAPPEN,” AND BLACK HISTORY IS SELDOM WRITTEN ON THE PAGES OF AMERICAN HISTORY. Racism is also subject matter that does not make its way onto the pages of American history and is often treated as a taboo subject or a four-letter word. Author and Atlantic columnist Ta-Nehisi Coates has said that, for Black people in America, racism is a physical experience of fear and violence. Noted activist Dick Gregory said, "White is not a color, it is an attitude." We cannot afford to ignore stories about the legacy of Black history, and the legacy of the Civil Rights Movement anymore. Those who tire of hearing about racism should ask yourselves, what if you were Black and had to live through the daily vulgarity of racism? My own understanding of Black history and the Civil Rights Movement began at age eleven in Mr. Rutledge Henry Pearson’s eighth-grade American history class at segregated Isaiah Blocker Junior High School in Jacksonville. Mr. Pearson, who was my mentor and the adviser of the Jacksonville Youth Council NAACP, would not teach his American history class from the textbook that during those days was approved for “Negro education.” He simply told us to leave our textbook at home—a textbook that included only Booker T. Washington and George Washington Carver as the only Blacks who made a difference in the history of this country. Note to American history teachers, White and Black: Do not expect your Black students to learn from your history class if you do not incorporate Black history. If I sit in a classroom and only read about the contributions made by White Americans and White Europeans, then the “learning field” is never level. It is downright incomplete, dishonest, and Racist that American history as portrayed in history textbooks essentially makes the statement that Blacks made no salient contributions to this country. My Black ancestors helped to develop this country before, during, and after slavery. BTW...OUR History did NOT begin with slavery. You have to teach the truth without regard to what the textbooks proclaim. You are not teaching if you do otherwise. Mr. Pearson wanted to arm us with the real truth, irrespective of what was “written down.” Black History is who We are. Racism is why We fight . . . and Why the Struggle continues. RACISM IS STILL TAUGHT! RACIST SENATE REPUBLICANTS, NO TELLING WHAT THEY TOLD UNCLE TIM SCOTT TO DO, continued to show their Racist disrespect as most of them silently left the Senate chambers during a standing ovation by Democrat Senators after Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was confirmed as the first Black female Supreme Court Justice.
Lindsay Graham, knowing the consequences, showed up to vote without his tie, knowing ties are required on the Senate floor. He had on a tie earlier in the day. He knew he could not vote on the Senate floor without his tie, so he purposely took it off so he would be barred. He voted "no" against Supreme Court Justice Jackson from the Senate cloakroom. DISRESPECT-One of the cornerstones of White American Christian Racism WE HAVE SEEN AND WE KNOW WHO AND WHAT Uncle Clarence Thomas is. We have seen his unfortunate and his consummate nothingness for more than 30 years just sitting in a seat on the United States Supreme Court wreaking havoc against the rights of Blacks, women and expected citizenship equality and fairness. A seat, might I add, he was Given for life. And then there is the acknowledged political puppet from South Carolina, one Tim Scott.
Uncle Tim Scott, Clarence Thomas's brother in the Doo-Dah Society, does not have a lifetime appointment. He has to answer to an electorate every 6 years, and this year IS the year. Uhh Senator "Stephen (Django Unchained)", your explanation to Black females in South Carolina as to why you voted against a Harvard-bred, Harvard Law School, upper 10 %, eminently qualified graduate, who happens to be a Black female, ought to be a doozy. White folks write your script, but they can't tell you how to respond to your OWN ignorance. |
