I SPEAK QUITE A BIT ABOUT American History which I call Incomplete, Dishonest and Racist. Invariably-it happened last week-I will get a White person to come up to me after my presentation (with documentation) and say, "I enjoyed your comments, even though I disagreed with some of what you said." What part of the TRUTH about American History did you Disagree with?
White America is so accustomed to hearing-Christopher Columbus "discovered" America...Betsy Ross sewed the first flag...Benjamin Franklin "discovered" electricity...and Francis Scott Key was "patriotically moved" to write the "Star Spangled Banner...ALL Lies, that when you tell them the truth with documentation, they don't want to believe the truth.
It reminds me of the saying, "When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression." Correspondingly, when you are White and you are accustomed to reading White American History lies ...learning White American History lies ...taught a romanticized yet deceitful White American History ...and you are taught Whites and Europeans did "everything" because (among other things) White historians and White textbook authors purposely excluded contributions by those whose hue of skin is Black, YOU THINK Truthful American History is a Lie.
The Struggle Continues!
